All sessions delivered through Zoom. Have some creative fun this Spring Break with MOCA Jacksonville at Virtual Spring Art Camp! Join MOCA Educators for exciting live art-making sessions through Zoom, introducing students to the world of contemporary art. Meet children from across the country and beyond for a live virtual art experience sure to spark creativity! Sessions available for ages 6-12.
Before 10:00 a.m. EST / Review daily materials (introduction, supply list, etc.)
10:00 – 11:30 a.m. EST / Live instruction by MOCA Educator
11:30 – 1:00 p.m. EST / Lunch break and self-paced creative activity
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EST / Share progress with instructor and classmates in small groups
2:00 – 3:00 p.m. EST / Optional: Open Studio time with instructor and classmates
Cost: $25 each day
Monday, March 8 / Balancing Act - Keep your balance! Experience the work of MOCA artist and balancing master Alexander Calder as you create your own mixed media mobiles.
Wednesday, March 10 / Wonders of Weaving - Explore making art with yarn and string! Learn new stitching and weaving techniques and create cool artworks inspired by the artists of today.
Friday, March 12 / Draw, Cut, Glue! - Experiment with collage and fun materials such as paint, fabric, paper, and yarn to create a unique and textured portrait, sure to surprise!
