The GTM Research Reserve hosts Family Seining monthly on the second Saturday from 9 - 11 am. Visitors will get the chance to pull a seine net through Guana Lake, collecting fish, crabs, shrimp and more, and then to learn about the animals and their roles in the habitat. Visitors will work as a team to identify what type of fish are collected and to see variations in common local fish. All necessary gear, including waders and boots, will be provided. There is a $3 per vehicle parking fee. The event is free, but online registration is required.
