RECREATIONAL BASEBALL:
The primary objective of the Recreational program is to enable players to learn the game of baseball in a fun and stimulating environment. The focus is on developing their skills to help them be the best baseball players they can be, while maintaining a healthy approach to competitive baseball. 

Cal Ripken Baseball Division - Ages 4-12

  • Midgets or Major/70: This division is recommended for ballplayers ages 11-12.
  • Tadpole or Minor: Recommended for ballplayers ages 9-10. 
  • Instructional or Rookie: Designed primarily for ballplayers ages 7-8
  • T-Ball: Ballplayers ages 4-6

Babe Ruth Baseball League - Ages 13-15: Created for ballplayers ages 13-15 who wished to continue their baseball playing experience beyond the age of 12. In this division, teams are eligible to enter tournament competition and move along the tournament trail, culminating in a World Series.

13-Year-Old Prep League - comprised of teams with only 13-year-old players-to foster more participation in the game for this age group. This league offers the 13-year-old player the assurance to play without age intimidation and the chance to participate in the 13-Year-Old World Series.

16-Year-Old Prep League - The primary objective of the16-yearold prep program is to provide players the opportunity to stay involved in organized baseball while sharpening their skills against competition in their own age group. Through its own tournament trail, players also have the chance to advance to the 16-Year-Old Regional Tournament.

ADVANCED BASEBALL:
The Advanced baseball program is a developmental training program for recreation level baseball players ages 5-12 who are looking for the next step. 

ALL-STAR BASEBALL:
Every Spring, SJAA provides the opportunity for highly skilled players to participate in local and/or regional All-Star Tournaments following the end of the regular rec baseball season. These tournaments are comprised of other All-Star teams from associations throughout the Jacksonville area and are played during the summer months.

CLINICS AND CAMPS:
Additional opportunities are available through our clinics for various age groups.  Clinics focus on skill development in a group setting mixed with lots of fun.  Please refer to the calendar and or news feature for upcoming clinic dates.
