Jacksonville Health and Transition Services (JaxHATS), which helps young adults with chronic conditions transition into their own health care coverage.
Pediatric Pain Management & Palliative Care, which provides complex chronic care and Pediatric Hospice.
Primary Care for the Medically Complex, which is specialized for children ages 0-21 who have conditions involving multiple organ systems and require more medical services than the average child.
Pediatric Nephrology & Rheumatology, which provides consultation, care and treatment for systemic lupus erythematosus, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney problems, congenital abnormalities and other physical conditions.
Pediatric Infectious Disease, which deals with conditions including bone and joint infections, fever of unknown origin (FUO), Immunodeficiency disorders and HIV/AIDS, Kawasaki disease, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), meningitis, MRSA infections, pneumonia, recurrent infections and tuberculosis. It also offers medical guidance for travel and international adoption.
Pediatric Rehabilitation Services, for children with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, brain and spinal cord injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Their complex medical and therapy needs are treated in partnership with Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital. Services include Botox injections for spasticity, Baclofen Pump management and bracing.
Pediatric Neurology, which evaluates and treats children with impairments of the central and peripheral nervous system. This includes seizures and epilepsy, headache and migraine, tics and other movement disorders, vascular conditions and stroke, neuromuscular disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Pediatric Weight Management Center, which evaluates a child for obesity, assesses causes, and offers laboratory tests, nutritional counseling and behavior modification through family psychotherapy.
Pediatric Genetics which serves children with mitochondrial defects and also serves expectant mothers through a specialized maternal and fetal medicine program.
