Multimedia Piano Studio (MPS) offers technology-integrated lessons in piano, digital keyboards, and organ. Learners engage computer-based training along with more traditional methods for ear training, rhythm development, and sight reading skills. The studio utilizes music games, recording, and composition programs to make learning relevant and fun. MPS students learn to perform as solists and with backing tracks and/or ensemble. Performance is graded and reported both electronically and using a studio rubric. The studio embraces a hybrid learning approach that combines face-to-face instruction with online learning from the student's home computer via an individualized, private web page for each learner taking 45 min or 60 min lessons.
