COVID-19: Things To Do, Virtual Classes, and Resources to Stay Safe and Informed
Session 1 - December 21 & 22, 2020
Session 2 - December 28 & 29, 2020
9am - 4pm
Children in grades K-8 are invited to spend part of their winter break at the Jacksonville Humane Society! Campers will have fun learning all about animal sheltering and how to help pets at home and in the community. They’ll spend time with dogs and cats, help socialize kittens, make crafts and treats for their four-legged friends, and much more.
Campers can attend Session 1, Session 2, or both sessions!
Cost: $150 per session
One snack is provided each day of camp courtesy of SmartBox. Campers must bring a water bottle and a lunch.
Box lunches from SmartBox will be available to purchase through December 1, 2020. You can add box lunches to your registration at checkout. All box lunches will include a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, chips, and a piece of fresh fruit or fruit-based snack.
The Kona Ice truck will visit JHS during the second day of camp. If you would like your child to be able to purchase a shaved ice from the truck, please send them to camp with $2-$6 cash (depending on the size they would like to purchase). In the event that it is too cold for shaved ice, hot chocolate will be available from the truck instead.
Drop off is from 8:45 - 9:00 a.m. and pick up is from 4:00 - 4:15 p.m. Extended care must be arranged in advance.
Extended care is available beginning at 7:45 a.m. and ending at 5:15 p.m. for an additional $20.
