Our goal is to connect parents to programs that will introduce children to art, music, sports, and other forms of enrichment that will expand their horizons and inspire our future generations and to strengthen the family unit by promoting quality family time together.

Magnet Mania and More School Choice Expo is this Saturday, January 21st from 11am – 3pm at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

At Magnet Mania and More School Choice Expo parents will have the chance to learn about magnet programs, career academies, charter schools and high school acceleration programs available for the 2012-13 school year in Duval County. The event is a showcase of elementary, middle and high schools. Free admission and free parking.

Spencers Theatre of Illusion will be at The Florida Theatre tonight - Friday, January 20th at 7:30 pm.

Theatre of Illusion is a spectacular production. For The Spencers, magic is about drama, spectacle, interaction, danger, and personality.

People have been known to levitate, walk through walls, vanish, and reappear. In one magical experiment, the entire audience is asked to get involved in a stunning, interactive mind reading experience!

The Jacksonville Chapter of CISV invites kids ages 10-13 to participate in games and activities on Sat, Jan 21 from 9am -12pm at Hendricks Ave. Baptist Church, 4001 Hendricks Ave. Parents are invited to learn more about CISV programs from 9:30 to 10:30am also at Hendricks Ave. Baptist Church.

CISV is a unique, non-profit organization that brings together children and young people from all over the world to foster international understanding in the hope of building peace for the future. Currently 62 countries participate in this well-established organization, founded in 1951.

All CISV programs are designed to be fun and interesting with activities that encourage learning by doing. KTAC, Kids Together Against Cancer, is a free support group for children coping with a parent's cancer diagnosis. More specifically, this group of licensed oncology counselors supports children (up to age 17) throughout the parents' cancer diagnosis and treatment process. In an unfortunate circumstance of a loss of the parent, KTAC will continue to support the children and spouse through bereavement counseling.

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held daily for Wicked, which will be performing from Wednesday, January 4th – Sunday, January 22nd at the Times-Union Center – Moran Theater at 300 West Water Street. Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time, people who present themselves at the Times-Union Center box office, will have their names placed in a lottery drum and then thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each (inclusive of all fees), cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Winner must be present with photo ID to buy tickets.

Parking is available at the Enterprise Parking Garage, adjacent to the Omni Hotel, for an hourly rate or by metered street parking (if available).
